I get asked this question a lot and the answer might not be exactly what you think
Did you know that sometimes when we're in pain our core muscles can actually over work?
It's our body's way of trying to protect us. We can tend to hold our breath or "pull everything in"
The problem is that's a bit like trying to drive with your brakes on!
For me, movement is the key!
We need to keep the body moving, flexible and strong and to do that takes a variety of exercises and muscles.
The core muscles are important but they're just a part of the jigsaw puzzle.
I've recorded 2 classes to help get you started and build more awareness and control.
The first class is all about how to get the core muscles working at a low level in the background rather than pulling in the tummy.
The second class is a 15 minute - Pilates for Back Pain Class, designed to help get you started.
It's not just for those with Back Pain though, it's great for Beginners.
